A Time to Embrace by Karen Kingsbury

A Time to Embrace by Karen Kingsbury is great reminder of God's working in the lives of believers.  Honestly, I have never read a book by this author (as shocking as that may seem), so I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself enjoying it.  It is not a page-turner, but simply a tender story of John and Abby facing hardship only a short time after narrowly avoiding a divorce.  (This is the second book in the Timeless Love Series, so you can read the first one to find out more details of this couple's recovered marriage.) John, a high school football coach, is entering his most difficult season with families breathing down his neck, and the constant concern for the personal trials his players are facing at home.   For example, Jake who is a star quarterback, but deeply hurting from his parents bitter divorce.  At a time when you think things couldn't get any worse, there is a car accident (which you could sort of predict was going to happen the minute  Jake's dad buys him a sports car for his birthday).  I would say this is a deeply touching story which will inspire you.

I received a free copy of this book from Thomas Nelson in exchange for a fair and honest review.  4 out of 5 stars.
